JOEY & SHANE’S WINTER WEDDING AT SUMMERGROVE ESTATE

Summergrove Estate is one of the nicest wedding venues in the Gold Coast hinterland for your wedding. With some of the best views around (you can see the coast on a good day), as well as a variety of ceremony locations and accommodation options. Summergrove Estate is an all-in-one wedding venue that’s both convenient and aesthetic.

Joey and Shane’s wedding started with a small but traditional tea ceremony on the garden – which we had to rush through, with a midday storm rolling in. After just barely making it undercover while the rain poured down, Joey and Shane got refreshed and dressed up for the wedding ceremony in the chapel. Thankfully, the storms had passed, which made touring Summergrove for photos afterwards a lot easier. Side note: you can expect a little hamper of food while you’re going around getting your photos, and if you can get some sliders, Joey and Shane both agreed they were the best thing they ate all day.

Inside the barn for the reception, you can expect long rows of tables for a more intimate feel, a separate area for the dance floor, and some seating outside if you’re after a bit of a break. Joey and Shane also organised a little champagne tower, which we used for the yam-seng (another Malaysian/Singaporean wedding tradition). We ended the night with a bit of dancing, and a sparkler exit send-off.
