Toowoomba Weddings at Preston Peak Weddings

If you’re planning a wedding in Toowoomba with panoramic views, Preston Peak Weddings is a lovely spot for you. Aileen & Ashley are dear friends of mine, so their wedding was one of my favourites of the year, and every bit as beautiful and fun as I would have expected from these two. With Aileen being a foodie (and Ashley a foodie-in-training), the canapes and dinner were pretty tasty, and Ashley probably would have spent more time eating snacks rather than taking photos.

The weather was beautiful albeit a bit windy (but that’s normal for Toowoomba), and we were blessed with clear views and gorgeous light all day. Their ceremony was a tear-jerker with some beautiful vows – and a strong reminder to tell your celebrant to move out of the way before the kiss, and tell your guests that throwing confetti is for after the ceremony, not when you walk down the aisle.

The gorgeous light got even more gorgeous-er when we walked around Preston Peak for some photos, with the setting sun getting more and more golden by the minute. Winter really has the best golden hour light in my opinion, with the downside that sunset is quicker and earlier than other months. To finish off the wedding day, we crammed into the reception hall for dinner and more tear-jerking speeches, and into the cellar door (with the super unique crystal chandelier tree) for Aileen’s dance with her father, and her first dance with Ashley.
