Non-stop energy is how I’d describe Vaska and Jackson’s traditional Macedonian wedding. Drums, shots, music, dancing, and a lot of sweat. This wedding was an all-day party – and when I say all-day, I mean we started dancing at 10am kept going went well past midnight.

Vaska and Jackson went the entire day radiating joy and love, without a moment of rest or complaint. I don’t know how they did it, but their optimism and overflowing happiness is part of the reason why their wedding is one my favourites. That, and their wedding was crazy chaotic (which I love). We didn’t understand a lick of the ceremony (including Jackson), since it was conducted in the Macedonian language, but it was cool to be a part and witness the traditional customs.

Their reception was at Hillstone, St Lucia, in the grandview room – one of Brisbane’s bigger venues capable of hosting a party this big, and one of Brisbane’s wedding venues that’s happy for you to dance late into the night.
